Why I'm Running

for Michigan State Representative

I’ve had enough. I’ve had enough of sitting on the sidelines. Plato once said “The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men”. I’m a proud pro-Trump pro-America First Republican running for state representative in Michigan district 58 because it is time to get in the game. It is time to give back for all the blessings I enjoy as an American. I’m a grassroots Christian conservative. I’m also a political outsider and I believe Michigan is headed in the wrong direction.

There is so much that needs to be done. From corrupt government officials to stolen elections to failing schools, and so much more, Michigan needs new leadership to fix these problems. The status quo has got to go. One regret I have in life is I didn’t serve in the military. Serving as a state representative will help fill that void and provide me with many opportunities to change the direction Michigan is headed.

While working on my degree in Mechanical Engineering at Valparaiso University, I read the book “The Power of Positive Thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale. Our thoughts are so important in shaping our lives and destinies. There is no situation (i.e. mountain) too large that it cannot be overcome (i.e. moved). What is needed is leaders who have courage, have faith in God Almighty, and who are not afraid to tackle the problems we face.

The size and influence of government needs to be kept in check, if not reduced. We need to identify the root causes of our issues and not just try to solve them by increasing funding. I believe the main root cause of many of our issues is we’ve walked away from the Holy Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We’ve bought into the lie of separation of church and state. I will use every opportunity as a state representative to give praise, honor, and glory to the One who created the Heavens and the earth, my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

I have a wonderful wife of 28 years and I’m the proud father of two children. I’ve entered this race to fight for their future and for yours.

Personal Information

I will be a strong advocate for Trade Schools. I won these metals in 1978 and 1979. The gold ones are for 1st place in NY State Machine Shop Competitions. The silver one is 2nd place in 1979 National Machine Shop Competition.
